Now available after a seven year translation effort, The Way: Critical-Historical Edition arrives in a hardback English-language edition that totals 1173 pages. This work brings out the interesting and little-known background to The Way’s 999 points, including the specific events in the life of its author, St. Josemaría Escrivá. It also explains the historical and cultural influences on the work. The book shows the text in translated English followed by an explanatory note on each point, as well as the original Spanish text and footnotes linking it to other points. This edition also includes chapters on the origins, editing, and publishing history of The Way and its predecessor, Spiritual Considerations, and editorial notes on the different editions of The Way.
